Clitheroe Rugby Club
About
We provide regular rugby training and competitive fixtures for our senior men's and women’s teams, competing in league and cup rugby throughout the season. We also run junior and youth sections, offering coaching and match opportunities for young players from mini rugby age upwards, helping develop their skills and love of the sport in a safe, inclusive environment.
The club maintains and manages its own ground and clubhouse facilities, which serve as a hub for the local sporting community. We host home fixtures, training sessions, and social events that bring together players, families, and supporters from across Clitheroe and the wider Ribble Valley.
Beyond playing, the club is committed to community engagement. Our Community Coach Programme takes rugby into local schools, and we host festivals and events that introduce new participants to the sport. We actively promote rugby's core values of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline, and sportsmanship both on and off the pitch.
The club is run entirely by volunteers, from coaching and match-day organisation to facilities management and administration, and relies on membership subscriptions, fundraising, and sponsorship to sustain its activities.
